I do think for the price it should be thicker material and completely rigid - there is a touch of give in the centre, and I doubt it would survive being stood/sat on for example, but I think it would withstand say a mug or a heavy book being dropped on it - hard to tell. It fits my new, shiny, beautiful Maschine MK3 perfectly snugly, offers good protection from liquid spills, and feels sturdy enough to withstand most reasonable impacts.
But if the value of something is what somebody is willing to pay for it, I guess it offers value. OK, so it's obviously ridiculously overpriced - it is, after all, a piece of moulded plastic.
